RI House to weigh pardon for man executed in 1845. →

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The Rhode Island House plans to vote on legislation seeking a pardon for an Irish man hanged in 1845 for the murder of a wealthy mill owner.
The House is scheduled to debate the bill Wednesday afternoon.
